The Hungries
![]()
The Hungries were developed around the idea that children 3-4 years old need stimulating play experiences, to entice their appetite for exploring their environment, as they are always on the prowl for quirky, unusual experiences. The concept of eating nesting monsters can capture the imagination of both parents and children, helping the latter become friends of experience and sensitivity to the world that surrounds them and giving the former an interesting and stimulating tool of communication for their child.
The Hungries Are A family of plush nested monsters that can record and play back sound in their own voice. When they are fed to one another, the voices of the monsters are mixed in fun, unexpected ways

How it works
1- A child records something (a sentence, a sound, ambient noise, etc.) by approaching the monster’s ear.
2- Then its arm is tugged, the monster repeats this with its own unique voice.
3- When one monster is put into another one’s mouth its voice is distorted. The monster that eats talks with ‘burps’ of the voice of the one he has eaten. Noises collide and sounds interact through these creatures.
