Applied Dreams Workshop 3: ‘Surveillance and Sousveillance’
This Applied Dreams was a two-week workshop held at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in collaboration with the Hitachi Design Centre, Milano.
The company presented intriguing embedded software possibilities, and asked the designers to create and explore new concepts through scenarios and prototyping.
The workshop’s aim was for participants to create and explore new concepts through scenarios and prototyping inspired by a particular brief based around ‘re-thinking video surveillance’. More specifically, Hitachi asked the designers to explore and design devices, applications or interfaces to allow people to interact with video information in shared environments.
