Summer-School In Bosa, Sardinia

During ten intensive days, students from Italy, Spain, China, Japan and Serbia meet and work together to learn new techniques and “out of the box” concepts, with the beautiful Sardinia sea and landscape in the background.

Obsidian Networking was one of the Workshops hosted by the summer school.
It was conducted by Yaniv Steiner and Antonello Marotta focusing on Interaction Design.
The students of this workshop (Jorge Benítez López-Minaya , Syrie Blanco Walsh , Antonello Marotta , Zorana Matic and Yang Hongyang) dwelled into the world of Interaction Design and interfaces using the “Learning by doing” approach, mixed with modern Zen. For example: students learn how to conjure magic trick with coins and cards, the reason for that is the “Critical performance” needed to achieve a magical illusion. Another part of the workshop was dealing with lock-picking and the art of analyzing and manipulating a lock, without the original key.
At the end of this process, students designed a hybrid tool for tomorrow’s mobile services, running on all mobile-phones around the globe.
A live presentation of this working service, using feedamass technology, was presentend successfuly on Spetember 15 2007 in the tiny town of Bosa, Sardinia.

Listen to the first presentation, explaining more in depth about why and how.
